The question
Do facial measurements relevant to respirator fit differ by gender, race/ethnicity and age?
The approach
The study drew on 2,022 existing 3D scans. Measurements were gathered using Anthroscan; 1,677 complete cases entered the reported statistical analysis.
The finding
Significant differences appeared across each demographic category. The findings inform more inclusive approaches to respirator sizing and future fit research.
